Introducing the Next Generation of Blackboard

Testing and piloting is underway on the upcoming release of Blackboard Learn version 9.1. This upgrade, scheduled to be made available campus wide in May, 2011, offers an improved Blackboard experience for both faculty and students. This version will deliver a redesigned, updated interface making the Blackboard environment more intuitive and easier to navigate.

A few of Blackboard Learn, Release 9.1’s new capabilities include:

  • A more collective and collaborative learning experience for your students through the integration of blogs, journals, wikis, and mash-ups, as well as new Group Tools.
  • Increased educator efficiency through content management at the course level, drag-and-drop navigation, student Performance Dashboard, and more.
  • More centralized control over assessment instruments through expanded question management capabilities available for use when creating Tests, Surveys, and Question Pools.
